Signing in
You sign in on Steam's own page. Steam then tells this site your Steam ID (the number in your Steam profile's address). Your Steam name comes from your public Steam profile.
What this site keeps
- Your Steam ID and Steam name, when you first and last signed in, and how often.
- Your sign-in session: a random code in a cookie, kept here only as a hash, for 30 days or until you sign out.
- For each game you sign in (FTL: Duels' SIGN IN): its key, kept here only as a hash.
- For ranked play: the tickets your game asks for (which relay, when), your rating in each season, and your ranked matches.
- The server's log notes that a sign-in or a link happened, not whose.
What is public
After your first ranked match: your Steam name, your rating, your matches (with the names, the results and the scores) and a link to your Steam profile, on the leaderboard and on your page. Rooms open on the relays show the host's name.
Cookies
__Host-ftl_session: keeps you signed in.__Host-ftl_login: for 10 minutes while you sign in; it protects the sign-in against forgery.
No tracking, no advertising, nothing loaded from other sites.
Deleting your data
Signed in, Your account has Delete my data. It removes your Steam ID, your Steam name, your sign-in history, your sessions and the games' keys, your tickets, and your ratings and your place on the leaderboard. Past matches stay, under the name you played with, without your Steam ID or a link to your profile. A ban from ranked play stays, kept only as a keyed hash of the Steam ID, so deleting doesn't undo it.
